Wrap Around Care ('Club')

CONTACT MRS LEACH - 07831 927 004

The aim of St Anne’s Wrap Around Care ('Club') is to provide facilities for your child at either end of the school day where they can be cared for in a safe environment and at a very reasonable cost. The Headteacher and school governors have overall responsibility for the running of the club and thus our operational policies are closely linked to those of the school. We recognise the importance of Safeguarding and for this reason your child will be signed in and out.

During term time, we make use of the large school hall and of a spacious, enclosed outdoor area in which we provide a wide range of age appropriate activities and equipment. Indoors there are board games, construction toys, small world toys, games consoles, a dressing up corner with role play accessories, a pool table and sports equipment. Bikes and tents are provided for outdoor play.

We have recently invested in more equipment to give all children a wider choice of things with which to occupy themselves.

Although there are planned activities every day, children can choose whether or not to join in. Some children, after spending the day working hard at school, prefer to relax, play their own games, chat with their friends, or follow their own interests in some other way.

Activities are planned around the children’s interests, and we value their input in this process.

We feel it is important to have a quiet area where children can do their homework, read or engage in creative writing and so we provide one. We also have access to an excellent computer suite (children are closely supervised). Parents are welcome to look at this facility.

We do provide a healthy snack as children are often hungry after school. A sample menu is in your welcome pack.

Breakfast Club

After a healthy breakfast - consisting of a choice of cereal, toast and fruit with water or milk to drink - the children have the opportunity for free play. Following this, at the start of the school day, we accompany the younger children to their classrooms.

We finish serving breakfast at 8.30am.

Holiday Club

This is available throughout each school holiday, with the exception of the Christmas break, Bank holidays and INSET days.

The Holiday Club is open to all children, from any school.

We provide a program that is full of fun, with stimulating, interesting activities, including many trips out to different places. For example; the airport, museums, parks, the cinema and pottery making classes.

We also invite people to come into the club to provide more fun activities for the children. For example; go karts, the fire brigade, Trafford Sports’ team programs, bouncy castles, bugs and creepy crawlies - all to widen the children’s knowledge.

Parents need to provide a packed lunch, but we provide plenty of drinks and a healthy afternoon snack.

Look at the holiday page to see the fun activities lined up for the next holiday.

We have qualified, friendly staff who are DBS checked and First Aid trained.
